As part of the debate on raising the federal debt limit, Congress and the White House are considering big changes to Medicare, including the Medicare supplement (Medigap) policies that protect millions of seniors like you.
Several of the leading proposals that Congress is looking at would force seniors who have Medigap to pay more – and maybe a lot more – out of pocket when they visit the doctor or go to the hospital. In fact, under some of the proposals being discussed seniors could pay as much as $7,500 per year out of pocket for medical care even if they have a Medigap policy.
More than 10 million Americans depend on Medigap. If you are one of them, or care deeply about one them, tell Congress that seniors rely on this coverage for protection from soaring health care costs.
There are many ways you can make your voice heard:
As deliberations in Congress progress, the Partnership to Protect Medigap will continue to provide you with updates on the potential impact to Medigap coverage and how you can get involved.
If you know others who count on their Medigap coverage and want to get involved, tell them about the Partnership.
